Have you filled your bubbles?
Even though tomorrow is election day, did you know that in many states, early in-person voting is possible?
Find out here if you can vote today (if you haven't already). Go to 866-OUR-VOTE for information on voting in your state.
Whether you vote directly—by filling in bubbles—or passively—by opting out—make no mistake that you are casting your ballot.
The fact that there has never been an election with even 50% of the voting population voting is concerning.
This year is different. There's already a record number of early votes.
Throughout history, many people have suffered and even lost their lives securing the right to vote.
Voter suppression is a real threat and we need to do what we can to protect our democracy and shape it toward justice.
If you haven't seen the video of the Unitarian Universalist (UU) service I co-created back in August honoring the passage of the 19th Amendment, here's the link.
Speaking of UU, I've been developing the services for November with the theme of healing. If you're interested in joining us on Zoom, click reply and I'll send you the link!
Take good care of yourself and each other.
With love,

P.S. Make your voice heard. VOTE!
P.P.S. Since it's likely that we won't know the results of the election for some time, I encourage you to be gentle with yourself and with others. Check-in with those you love and especially check-in with yourself. Give yourself some extra care.
P.P.S. I compiled this flag as a representation of my vision of our country: Looking at, processing, and healing our wounds through embracing diversity.
