David's Cranberry Sauce
Olivia's dad, David, is a pretty great cook in his own right, and Thanksgiving is one of his favorite holidays. Along with several other delicious dishes, he's famous for his amazing cranberry sauce—and he’s allowed me to share it with you!

Serves 4
Ingredients
8 ounces fresh cranberries
1 cup orange juice
1/4 cup coconut sugar
3 whole cinnamon sticks
5 whole cloves
1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
1 whole bay leaf
zest of one orange
Pinch sea salt
Directions
1. Place all ingredients in a medium saucepan and bring to a boil.
2. Reduce heat to low and cook until cranberries have popped and liquid has reduced to desired thickness (1-2 hours).
3. Remove cinnamon sticks and bay leaf. Serve warm or chilled.
Pro-tip
- Not just for Thanksgiving, this sweet, crimson sauce makes an equally incredible ice cream sundae topping as it does a jam stand-in!
